The College of Nursing is one of the founding colleges of the University of South Alabama, which was established in 1963 in Mobile, Alabama. The college offers programs from the BSN through the DNP and PhD, and it is among the largest producers of nurses and advanced practice nurses in Alabama. It is known for strong NCLEX outcomes, a broad range of nurse practitioner specialties, and a substantial online graduate presence.
Students train in a health sciences environment alongside USA Health facilities, including the USA Health University Hospital, Children's & Women's Hospital, and the Mitchell Cancer Institute.
