Overview
Founded in 1920, the Sinclair School of Nursing has grown from a small hospital-based training program into one of the leading nursing schools in the nation, renamed in 1999 in honor of a major gift from alumna Ronald Ann Sinclair Reynolds. The school is particularly renowned for its research contributions in gerontological nursing, nursing informatics, and telehealth, and it has consistently ranked among the top nursing schools for federal research funding. Its faculty have been pioneers in aging-in-place research and sensor-based technologies for elder care, cementing the school's reputation as an innovator in health technology applications for nursing practice.
