Overview
Established in 1932 as one of the oldest nursing programs in the Pacific, the school was renamed in 2018 in honor of alumna and philanthropist Nancy Atmospera-Walch following a major gift supporting nursing education. The school has built a strong reputation for producing highly qualified nurses, nurse practitioners, and nurse scientists, with a particular emphasis on serving Hawaii's diverse and multicultural population as well as broader Pacific Island communities. It offers programs from baccalaureate through doctoral levels, including BSN, MS, DNP, and PhD degrees, and is recognized for its rigorous clinical training and research contributions to community and public health.
