The UCF College of Nursing was established in 1979 as part of the University of Central Florida and has grown into one of the largest nursing programs in the state. It offers BSN, RN-to-BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD programs, and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The college is known for strong NCLEX pass rates, nationally ranked graduate and online programs, and an emphasis on evidence-based practice, simulation education, and community health.
The College of Nursing is based at the UCF Health Sciences Campus in Lake Nona, alongside the College of Medicine, the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, and neighboring VA, Nemours, and Nicklaus Children's facilities. Students train in high-fidelity simulation labs and complete clinical rotations across Central Florida's major hospital systems. The college serves a diverse mix of traditional, transfer, and working-nurse students, and offers many flexible online graduate pathways.
