Overview
The UAMS College of Nursing was established as part of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, the state's only academic health sciences center, to address the growing need for highly trained nursing professionals across Arkansas. Over the decades it has grown into the state's premier nursing education institution, offering programs from the baccalaureate through the doctoral level, including a strong DNP and PhD in Nursing pipeline. The college is recognized for its rural health initiatives, telehealth integration, and role in supplying nurse practitioners, educators, and administrators to medically underserved areas of Arkansas.
