Overview
Founded in 2009 with a landmark $100 million gift from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis was created to transform nursing education and healthcare delivery through innovation, research, and interprofessional collaboration. As one of the newest schools within the University of California system, it was designed from the outset to break from traditional nursing education models, emphasizing leadership, technology-enabled learning, and team-based care. It has quickly built a reputation for producing nurse leaders, nurse practitioners, and health policy influencers who address healthcare disparities and health system redesign.
