Overview
SUNY Polytechnic Institute was formed through mergers of SUNY Institute of Technology and Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, and its Department of Nursing and Health Professions grew out of the legacy nursing programs historically offered at the Utica campus. The department has built a reputation for producing registered nurses and health professionals through RN-to-BSN completion pathways, prelicensure nursing tracks, and allied health credentials designed for working adults and traditional students in central New York. It is best known for practical, clinically grounded training that emphasizes hands-on patient care experience and partnerships with regional hospitals and healthcare systems.
