PCOM South Georgia is a branch campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (founded 1899), established in Moultrie, Georgia, in 2018 and welcoming its first Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine class in 2019. It was created to address physician shortages in rural South Georgia and offers the same DO curriculum as the main campus, emphasizing osteopathic principles, primary care, and community-based medicine.
The campus is small and tight-knit, giving students close contact with faculty and strong ties to local clinics, hospitals, and community partners. Beyond the DO program, it offers graduate programs such as the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and students benefit from clinical rotations across rural Georgia and the region. The student experience centers on service-oriented, hands-on training with a mission-driven culture focused on rural health.
