Overview
The Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University traces its roots to the university's early business programs and was formally named in 1985 after benefactor Martin Walker. It has grown into one of the most respected undergraduate business programs in the Southeast, holding AACSB International accreditation for both its business and accounting programs, a distinction earned by a small percentage of business schools worldwide. The college is particularly well known for its innovative sustainable business program, one of the first of its kind in the nation, and for a supply chain management program frequently ranked among the best in the country.
