About University of Manitoba

The University of Manitoba is a public research university in Winnipeg and the largest university in the province. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, and it is home to Manitoba's only medical school and law school.

The university is located on Treaty 1 territory and the homeland of the Red River Métis, and it has made Indigenous achievement a central part of its mission. Its Fort Garry campus serves as the main hub for most faculties, while the Bannatyne campus is the centre of health sciences education.

Students choose from many faculties, including Arts, Science, Engineering, Management, Agricultural and Food Sciences, Architecture and Health Sciences. Co-operative education, research opportunities and community partnerships help students connect their studies to careers.
