About Memorial University of Newfoundland

Memorial University of Newfoundland is the province's only university and one of the largest in Atlantic Canada. Its mandate to serve the people of Newfoundland and Labrador, and its position on the edge of the North Atlantic, shape much of its teaching and research.

The university offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, with particular strength in ocean and marine research, cold-ocean engineering, medicine, education and the social sciences. Its co-operative education programs in engineering and business let students alternate study with paid work terms.

Students from across Canada and around the world study at Memorial, where smaller classes and a close-knit campus culture are part of the appeal.
